Canada Post Strike
Updated: Dec 6, 2024
During the postal service disruption, utility bills will continue to be issued and the payment due dates will remain unchanged. For those who receive their bills by mail, it is recommended to sign up for paperless billing to ensure you do not miss a payment deadline.

To sign-up, email: @email
Or complete our online Email Billing Sign-Up Form. This form is also available in pdf. Note that depending on when you sign-up in the billing cycle, you may receive one further paper bill.
Other Contingency Options to Receive Utility Bill Amounts
Residents and businesses may also choose from these additional contingency options to receive your utility bill details:
- Collect your paper bill in person at the Municipal Office at 270 Main Street, Lucan, ON N0M 2J0
- Call the Municipal Office to request your owed amount over the phone 519-227-4491
Payment Methods
We strongly discourage making payments through postal services during the Canada Post strike, as mailed payments may not be received by the Municipality before the due date and you may face late charges.
There are several contingency options available for residents and businesses to ensure their payments are made:
- Payments by Credit Card
- Internet or Telephone Banking
- In Person or via our Drop-box (located at staff front entrance)
- Automated Banking Machines
- Pre-Authorized Payment Plan
