Purpose and Effect
The proposed Temporary Use By-law would permit the construction of a new dwelling while the existing dwelling remains until such time as it ceases to be occupied or within one (1) year (whichever occurs first). The owner is seeking permission to construct a new dwelling on the subject lands while residing in the existing dwelling until the new dwelling is constructed. The subject lands are a surplus residential lot as a result of a surplus dwelling severance. The lands are currently occupied by a single detached dwelling and associated accessory building. The subject lands are zoned a Surplus Dwelling (SD) Zone which permits single detached dwellings and associated accessory structures.
