Information updates on Baconfest, Canada Day and COVID-19.
Lucan Baconfest has established itself as a must attend event in Ontario for the last 7 years and attracts over 35,000 people for this one-day event. Hogtown Cycles and the Township of Lucan Biddulph partner to bring together an event for not only motorcycle enthusiasts but for bacon lovers from across the province and beyond as well. Mayor Cathy Bughardt-Jesson “This event has been supported by community organizations, businesses and local residents since inception and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our Main Street every second Saturday in July for our hugely successful daytime event and the Main Concert Event at night”. Like many festivals and events in Ontario, we have been monitoring the COVID-19 crisis closely and with the federal and provincial regulations regarding gatherings and the need to keep everyone safe, the Baconfest Organizing Committee has felt it is in everyone’s best interest to cancel the 2020 event but we will be back on July 10th, 2021 with great entertainment, food and fun for everyone.
“Riders and enthusiasts come to Baconfest to socialize, see each other’s motorcycles, watch the Extreme Shows, eat bacon and enjoy live music, but the world has dramatically changed this year. It was a difficult decision. We love this event but we just want to do the right thing and keep everyone safe. We look forward to being bigger and better in 2021. Our team will be reaching out to our camping guests and Hogland vendors who have registered for this year in the coming weeks to issue full refunds. We would like to thank you for your patience as we roll out this process.” Mike Koricina & Teresa Burns, owners and founders of Baconfest.
