Township of Lucan Biddulph - February 6th, 2017
The Township of Lucan Biddulph would like to announce that Ms. Lisa deBoer has resigned her position as Clerk with the Township of Lucan Biddulph effective February 10th, 2017.
Ms. deBoer will begin a one year part-time contract position as Lucan Biddulph’s Economic Development Officer February 13th, 2017.
Mr. Ron Reymer, the current CAO/Dep Clerk will be appointed as CAO/Clerk and Ms. Tina Merner, currently filling a maternity leave, will assist in the performance of the Clerk’s duties as an Administrative Assistant.
“This internal restructuring will place the Township of Lucan Biddulph in a position to address the increasingly important task of attracting, and retaining businesses to our community” said Mayor Cathy Burghardt-Jesson.
“We are fortunate to have experienced a lot of residential growth in Lucan Biddulph over the last number of years and we now need to put more focus on growing the commercial and industrial sectors” said Ms. deBoer.
Mayor Burghardt-Jesson noted that the creation a dedicated Economic Development Officer was the first goal identified in the Township’s Strategic Plan adopted one year ago. Ms. deBoer will be the lead support for the Township’s Community Economic Development Committee (CEDC) and will assist them with their goals and objectives throughout the year.
Ms. deBoer will also be maintaining the Township of Lucan Biddulph’s social media presence as well as looking after the Township’s webpage.
