Opened in 2009, the Lucan Area Heritage & Donnelly Museum is dedicated to the preservation and retelling of the most famous historical events of the area…events such as the arrival and settlement of the area by Irish immigrants, the infamous Donnelly murders, recounted in song, story and plays throughout Canada, and the founding of Wilberforce by a Black community from Cincinnati.
“What an incredible history! Worth the drive!” - D. & E. Cook
The Lucan Area Heritage & Donnelly Museum is committed to providing accessibility for all of our visitors.
