Lucan Biddulph, ON – The Township of Lucan Biddulph is pleased to announce that it has received funding from the Municipal Housing and Infrastructure Program thru the Province of Ontario in the amount of $17,600,000.00 to support the expansion and modernization of its wastewater treatment plant. This investment will allow the Township to complete essential system upgrades while increasing treatment capacity to meet the community’s growing needs.

In addition to expanding the capacity of the plant, the project will ensure that the wastewater treatment system continues to operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with environmental regulations.

‘Lucan is one of the fasted growing communities in Ontario, and this investment will help ensure that growth is supported and can continue with the right infrastructure”, said Steve Pinsonneault, MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex. “By expanding the Lucan Wastewater Treatment Plant, we’re enabling the construction of nearly 1,000 new homes, keeping pace with the community’s needs, and helping to grow our local economy. Our government remains focused on delivering the housing people in our region can count on for the future”.
