Wastewater Expansion Funding Plan Approved

Council approved a funding plan for the Lucan Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion and sanitary trunk main upgrades and directed staff to apply for an interest-free loan through Middlesex County. The provincial grant covers 73% of eligible project costs incurred after April 2023; other expenses remain the Township’s responsibility.

New Fire Truck Approved for Granton

Council awarded a $740,000 plus HST tender to Metalfab Ltd. for a new four-door pumper-tanker for the Granton Fire Station. The tender came in approximately $60,000 under budget and the vehicle will provide increased tanker and pump capacity.

Ice Allocation Adjusted for 2026–2027 Season

To help address demand for minor hockey ice time, Council approved moving the Friday adult recreational ice rental from 9:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. beginning in the 2026–2027 season. The Tuesday evening rental will remain unchanged.

Development Charges Review Deferred

Council decided to wait until the BM Ross Sanitary Master Servicing Study is complete before updating the Township’s Development Charges By-law. The study will help inform future infrastructure requirements and the projects to be considered in the review.
