2025 Financial Statements Presented
Council received the Township's 2025 Draft Financial Statements from municipal auditor Christene Scrimgeour. Council accepted the draft financial statements as presented.
Municipal Investment Strategy Reviewed
Representatives from ONE Investment provided Council with an overview of the Prudent Investor Standard and municipal investment opportunities. Council directed staff to work with ONE Investment on the steps required for the Township to potentially join the ONE Joint Investment Board, with an investment policy, agreement and authorizing by-law to return to Council for consideration.
Lucan Master Sanitary Study Moves Forward
Council authorized staff to accept a proposal from BM Ross to complete the Lucan Master Sanitary Study. The study will help guide future sanitary servicing needs as the community continues to grow.
Biddulph-Blanshard Fire Agreement Extended
Council approved extending the agreement with the Township of Perth South for the operation and governance of the Biddulph-Blanshard Fire Area Board. The extension will continue through December 31, 2027.
2026 Municipal Election Update
Council received an update on preparations for the 2026 Municipal Election. Municipal Election Day is October 26, 2026, with staff continuing preparations for the upcoming nomination and voting periods.
