Black History Month
February is Black History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the history, achievements, and contributions of Black Canadians—past and present.

Here in Lucan Biddulph, we also acknowledge the important legacy of the Wilberforce Settlement, one of Canada’s earliest Black communities, established by freedom seekers in the early 1800s. Its history is a powerful reminder of resilience, courage, and the pursuit of opportunity and belonging.

In Lucan Biddulph, we are proud to be a community that values diversity, inclusion, and respect. This month is an opportunity to learn, reflect, and honour the stories and experiences that have helped shape our region and our country.
