Cold Alert Extension Issued
The Health Unit is issuing a Cold Alert Extension for January 19th and 20th as temperatures are expected to feel like –24°C during the afternoon and –27°C overnight into tomorrow due to wind chill. Cold conditions are expected to persist throughout the week.
Cold Weather Safety Tips:
- Stay indoors as much as possible (home, public spaces, libraries).
- Dress in warm layers and cover exposed skin to prevent frostbite.
- Drink warm fluids (avoid alcohol & caffeine).
- Prepare your home & car for winter.
